Ascencion Photography delivers- artistic bridal portraits, photography for formal or informal weddings both local and international (the most fun gig in ‘07 was St. Martin!) and state of the art designer albums, printed and created by Outer Banks photographer Gordon Kreplin.

Gordon’s manner is relaxed and unobtrusive. He believes that image style should follow the situation whether it is candid, journalistic, formal or impressionistic. The artistry of Gordon’s photography is there to serve you- the bride and groom.

Each wedding presents different opportunities for photographic expression. Gordon believes that expression should serve the client, not the photographer. Think of your wedding photography as something that will stand the test of time, through all the stylistic trends portrayed in contemporary magazines. Fads come and go- a wedding sacrament is forever.

Clarity, sequence of events and emotional expression are the most important aspects of Gordon's photographic style.

Process:

It’s a great idea for the bride and groom to meet with Gordon to discuss plans for their wedding day. This also gives photographer and client a chance to get to know each other so that on the wedding day there is a comfort level conducive to an easy flow of coverage. Gordon will be interested in your likes, dislikes, how you met, shared interests-etc. If meeting in person is not possible, a phone conference will do.

On the day of the wedding Gordon is available to photograph the bride and bridesmaids getting ready, the groomsmen preparing, arrival of guests, great shots of the cake and table settings. During the ceremony his coverage is gentle and respectful.

Beach weddings usually present an opportunity to do formal photos of family on the beach after the ceremony. It's also a great opportunity to photograph the bride alone and with the groom. Anything goes for the reception- they are all different! The main thing is to photograph you and your guests having a great time!

Pricing for Wedding coverage:

We have one basic price- 5 hours of coverage for $1595.00. Please call us for details.

Additional hours are billed at $175.00.
