How Does it Work?
We come to you or suggest a beautiful location. Your beach portrait session will last from 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the size of your group and the session you choose.
Before the session, we consult with you by phone regarding dress, session times and location. If someone in your family has special needs, please let us know so that we can prepare and accommodate accordingly.
We offer three distinctive approaches to portrait making:
Classic. Beautiful environmental portraiture with classic posing and lighting. A bit more formal than our Contemporary, this session lasts about 60 minutes. Imaging is done in color; black and white conversion is available for an extra fee per print. All size groups and all groupings are included – extended and individual families, couples, children, etc.. $249
Contemporary. A fresh and dramatic family portrait experience – classic portraits plus dynamic posing and candids in black and white in a session lasting 90-120 minutes. The look and feel are a bit less formal than our Classic; all imaging is available in color as well, according to your preference and at no extra cost. Extended and individual families, couples, children, etc. – all size groups and all groupings are included. $359
Surf and Turf. As the name implies, two sessions, one by sea and one by land. This blend of classic and contemporary, elegant studio and romantic location portraiture, is the perfect solution for families celebrating a special milestone during their reunion time at the beach. Stunning family portraits on location plus an added focus – an engagement, a high school senior, a child’s formal portrait, a landmark anniversary, a baby on the way – in the studio. Imaging is in black and white as well as color. All size groups and all groupings are included. $449
What comes next?
Gordon calibrates the images immediately after your session – dedicating time and expertise before presenting them to you. This takes the guess work out of your review. We always keep the final result in mind, so all retouching is done in house and not by an unfamiliar lab technician. We print and produce your finished pieces in our own production facility, to the highest standards and with a guarantee of quality. Our Master Photographer is a fine print maker to whom other photographers turn for their critical printing – unparalleled in the region.
How long before I can see the results?
Your session will be ready for viewing at our studio in 12 to 24 hours.
What is the best way to see my session?
In our studio! Reviewing the images on our 60 inch monitor with your photographer is a spectacular way to see all the detail and choose your portraits knowledgeably and with confidence. This valuable service, included in your session fee, is not available from most other photographers. We can help you decide which images and styles of presentation will work best in your home.
Can my family order online and where are print prices listed?
After your studio review session, we’ll post your images online for 10 days in your own web gallery. To peruse sample galleries and see current pricing for finished products, visit our photocart at www.ncbeachphotos.com/photocart. Choose a gallery and click on a thumbnail to enlarge an image. To the right of the image, note the drop down menu of portrait sizes and offerings. Online purchasing is all done with a secure shopping cart.
